Culture tightens its grip as soon as the word ‘beauty’ is pronounced. Once the terrain is freed of the time-honored measuring stick of beauty–an old tethering pole, a great phantom state–we can return to the healthy horizontal, the wholesome barren state. The spirit has free reign once again.
